The Pope of Utah [Blu-ray]

Refuse Films / Series 2 / The Pope of Utah

[Limited to only 2,000 units with exclusive slipcover & 24-page booklet]

A small-time TV evangelist struggles to keep his crumbling career together.

When high-tech televangelist Melvis Pressin's empire begins to crumble, it triggers a full-blown meltdown. He believes the only way to save his sleazy broadcast ministry is by crushing everyone in his path. Melvis dons his garish suits and mustard-stained charisma and goes to war inside a retro-futurist religious TV station. As the delusion and rage escalate, a twisted showdown brews between Melvis and Del, his burnt-out, bipolar employee, a failed TV comedian who has had enough of the showbiz jive.

Refuse Films Series 2 presents three brand-new Blu-rays featuring the most subversive, transgressive, and disturbing films from the underground world of independent cinema. Series 2 includes festival favourites, long-lost cult oddities, and Blu-ray world premieres.
