Since 2004, Bleeding Skull has explored otherworldly cinema through reviews, books, and home video releases. We shine a light on independent genre films that have flown under the radar but deserve to be seen by all. Fangoria has called Bleeding Skull “The go-to encyclopedia for trash, bizarre, and shot-on-video cinema,” while Vice referred to it as “like a fever dream glimpse into parallel worlds". If Leatherface from THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE made a home movie, it would feel a lot like OGROFF. Shot on Super 8 film in France by video shop owner/horror zine publisher Norbert Moutier (aka N.G. Mount), the movie follows Ogroff—a deranged cannibal who attacks anyone unfortunate enough to enter his haunted forest. Channeling a chaotic, droned-out slasher aesthetic that showcases haunted synthesizers, crazed gore, and surreal deviations from reality, OGROFF is the zenith of accidental avant-garde horror. Bleeding Skull is honored to present this fabled underground nightmare for the first time on Blu-ray, restored from the newly discovered U-matic tape masters.
