Jean-Luc Godard's stylish, offbeat blend of American private eye films, European science fiction, and the Orpheus myth stars Eddie Constantine as hard-boiled shamus Lemmy Caution, whose latest case has sent him to a distant world to track down-and assassinate-the creator of the super-computer that enforces the planet's sterile and morally bankrupt culture. Akim Tamiroff, Anna Karina, Howard Vernon, Jean-Pierre Leaud also star.
